Agence Inside

"I invite people to stay as far away from this agency as possible. We are a young couple who wanted to rent an apartment and visited it at the beginning of June 2024. Mr Grégory Macheboeuf started sending me SMSs asking for all sorts of random documents. To give just one example, he asked for signed documents from our parents stating that we had lived with them in 2022, two years earlier. He then sent other random documents to be signed. Note that this was all done using SMSs and Microsoft Word. Yes, you got that right, sensible documents exchanged via SMSs and Word, in 2024. He also started complaining that the signature I added was not visible (probably because he is still using Word 2000 and not understanding that this is the exact reason why people should be using PDFs and legal electronic signatures). Note also that we visited about ~25 houses in the area (Geneva and France) and nobody ever asked us for this insane amount of documents. In any case, even if the situation was really weird, we continue to collect all the weird documents that Grégory needs, using the technology from 1980, and more than 2 weeks after the visit, he finally tells us that we can move in and asks me when we can do it. I kindly reply that due to a series of personal circumstances that are now valid and did not exist two weeks ago, we would have liked more to move in a month if possible, but I tell him that if it's too late, it's no problem and we can organise ourselves to move in before. Out of a sudden he started sending rude SMSs and being incredibly aggressive on the phone. Saying that we should mandatorily move in "now" and that it's all our fault as it took 3 days to retrieve all the documents he asked. At one point he also threatened me, telling me to come to his house 'to sort it out'. As the conversation continued, he escalated and became more aggressive, so I decided to stop talking and move on. I have experience of renting in several countries and I have never experienced anything like this. Please listen to me and stay as far away from this agency as possible."
